Q: Where exactly is Wineport Lodge? A: Wineport Lodge is a four-star hotel in Westmeath, situated in Portaneena between the villages of Ballykeeran and Glasson on the lakeshore (low) road.

Q: Does the hotel have a car park and is it included in the rate? A: Absolutely – and all our guests can avail of free parking.

Q: What’s your ‘No Show’ policy? A: Sometimes circumstances mean you won’t be able to get here. As soon as you know your plans are changing, please tell us. Unfortunately, if you don’t arrive on the day of your booking, you’ll be charged the full amount for the accommodation you reserved. If you booked our ‘Advanced Purchase’ or ‘Stay and Save’ rates, there’s a 100% penalty charge to cover the duration of your stay. Our cancellation policy can be viewed here.
Q: What is the cancellation policy? A: We really hope (and we bet you do too) that you don’t have to cancel. But if you do, there are two different scenarios: if you’re availing of our Flexible Rates, the latest cancellation time is by 1400 GMT, 72 hours prior to your booked arrival date; our Advanced Purchase rates are payable at the time of booking and each reservation is non-transferable and non-refundable. Q: What time is check-out? A: Check-out is 12 noon.
Q: Is it possible to get a late check-out? A: Yes, subject to availability. When you make a reservation on www.wineport.ie you can book a late check-out, if available, for €50.
Q: What time is check-in? A: Officially, check-in is from 4pm. But if you want to arrive before then (and who could blame you!) early check-in is from 2pm, subject to room availability. When you make a reservation on www.wineport.ie you can select early check-in for €50.
Q: What is Wineport Lodge’s credit card policy? A: Like pretty much every other hotel these days, we require a credit card to make and secure a booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Amex cards.
Q: Can I arrange for items or gifts to be placed in a room? What do you offer? A: What a nice thought! Absolutely, we can place a variety of welcome goodies, including wine, flowers or chocolates. To arrange this, just contact us in advance of your stay.
Q: Do you have family rooms? A: Yes, if they’re available. You can choose from a double bed and two single beds or double bed and double pull out sofa bed. Call us on +353 90 643 9010 and we’ll check if a suitable room is available for your dates.
Q: Do you have cots for children? A: Today’s tiny tag-alongs are tomorrow’s grown-up guests! So we’re very happy to include one baby cot in most of our rooms, free of charge.
Q: Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms? A: Yes, currently we have one wheelchair accessible room.
Q: Does the hotel provide international adaptors? A: All of our bedrooms have standard Ireland/UK power sockets. But don’t worry if your gadgets use a different plug. Adapters for United States and European plugs are available at reception for a small deposit. Also, if you’re coming from the US or elsewhere and your devices operate on 120v, they’ll need a transformer. Irish/UK sockets deliver 220-240v which packs much more punch and could damage your equipment.
Q: When booking online, how can I be sure that I will have a room reservation? A: We’ll confirm it by email! If you book a room via www.wineport.ie, we immediately send an automated confirmation number plus a reservation number to the email address you gave us.
Q: Do you offer hairdryers in your guestrooms? A: Of course! After all, isn’t a hairdryer one of life’s essentials…
Q: Do you provide coffee makers in your guestrooms? A: Who knows when you may fancy a cup of something hot. So all our bedrooms are equipped with bottled water plus a kettle and tea/coffee.
Q: Do you provide irons and ironing boards? A: Yes, to ensure you can always look sharp, an iron and ironing board is available in every bedroom.
Q: Is the hotel air conditioned? A: Cool question. Yes indeed, each room has an air conditioning / heating unit.
Q: Do your room rates include VAT? A: Yes, room rates are always quoted with VAT included.
Q: Do you have connecting rooms? A: No, we do not have interconnecting bedrooms.
Q: Can children share my room? A: That’s what are family rooms are designed for! Children are welcome to stay in these or we can add cots to our double rooms. If you want to request a family room, or have a more specific accommodation request, just call us on +353 90 64 39010 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to assist.
Q: Do you offer breakfast in bed? A: How often do you treat yourself to breakfast in bed? So when you’re at Wineport Lodge, don’t miss the chance. A door hanger in each bedroom lists the breakfast menu and relevant charges. To order, just tick what you want on the hanger, hang it outside your room before you retire and enjoy mouthwatering dreams of what will arrive in the morning.
Q: Is Internet access available? A: It’s the 21st century, so fast internet access is as essential as hot water. Complimentary access to high speed Wi-Fi is available in every corner of Wineport Lodge.
Q: What time is breakfast served? A: If you don’t want to (or have time to) linger and enjoy breakfast in bed, breakfast is served each morning in The Restaurant from 7.30am to 10.30am.

Q: Does Wineport Lodge have a restaurant? A: Well, considering that the hit TV show ‘The Restaurant’ was filmed here… Actually, we have a number of great dining options: lunch is served in the Grapevine Lounge from 12.30pm daily; Afternoon Tea is served from 1.00pm to 3.30pm daily (but make sure to book in advance); and dinner is served in The Restaurant from 5.30pm.
