Glasson Golf Club

is home to one of Ireland’s most scenic and challenging 71-par courses. High praise came from none other than much-missed golfing legend Christy O’Connor Jnr. He described it as “…one of the most scenic pieces of land I’ve ever seen in my life”.

Mount Temple Golf Club

is just ten minutes or so from Wineport Lodge and offers panoramic views and undulating fairways.

Athlone Golf Course

is the oldest of the bunch and dates back to 1892. It’s picturesquely located at Hodson Bay on the other side of Lough Ree, which surrounds the course on three sides.
